FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas coach John L. Smith says three players who were suspended indefinitely after being arrested earlier this month for burglary are currently not part of the team or enrolled in summer school.

Receivers Marquel Wade and Maudrecus Humphrey, and tight end Andrew Peterson were arrested May 12 and have been charged with felony residential burglary. According to arrest reports, the three stole textbooks, DVDs, laptops and more than $4,800 in cash from a university dormitory.

All have hearings set for June 15.

Smith says the players are "not a part of this football team until this thing gets cleared up."

Three other Arkansas players have also been arrested since March on unrelated incidents.

Kick them out of the University. They are losers in life. Their abominable character has a very negative affect on the University, especially the football program.

They are already losers in life; kick them out of anything that has to do with the University. They have a negative effect on it.

good, don't want that trash playing for the HOGS...you can put a thug in a football uniform and send it to college but it's still a thug...from my understanding, the thugs belong on the pro ball circuit anyway...

Smith says the players are "not a part of this football team until this thing gets cleared up." Well, it looks like he is going to wait and see what the judge charges them with. Felony = Bye Bye as it should be.

How, and from which grant or quota filling policy did they get INTO collage in the first place? I'm guessing they had some financial help kick in at some point.

Glad to see Coach Smith holding players accountable for their actions. This is something that has been lacking on the hill for several years.

Good, they don't deserve to be part of any team outside of prison.
