ASU’s Adams kicked off basketball team

JONESBORO, AR – Arkansas State announced Monday that Martavius Adams is no longer on the basketball team.

It was not initially known what prompted his dismissal.

Head coach John Brady made the following statement about Adams:

Throughout my coaching career I have always had a great deal of support for my players. I have always tried to guide, council, disciple and hopefully improve their decision making process as it relates to their membership on the team. When this process has been exhausted and the proper behavior has not been reached, then membership on the team can no longer be allowed. This is the case with Martavius Adams. Our present team will accept the challenge of playing without him and to a man, we believe success will continue to take place.
