Mike- I think my DVR is broken, I set it to record "the biggest loser" and it keeps recording Razorback football games

A lot of people want to blame Petrino for all of this. Really you cant. Jeff Long knew what kind of person he was when he hired him, but all of that was trumped by his success as a coach. Long was kind of forced to hire him because the money players were tired of losing and wanted a winning coach that would bring in the money and bring in the recruits. Look at all of the money that was brought in from Petrino's era and all of the new facilities being built with that money. John L. Smith has taken us to a level that the University couldnt get a loan to rent porta potties or build a lawn chair. The next hire will be one of great recognition, just wait and see.

Miker; that was a good one! I don't know guzzler; I think there are high school teams that could beat them right now. Hope your mojo is right though; tired of losing!

I heard we are going to change our mascot to a posom because we play dead at home and get killed on the road. this is pathetic!

I respectfully disagree with you on the SEC. My morning fare consists of Fox News Channel, the Weather Channel, and ESPN ( during baseball season and pro football season ). I have heard many on ESPN and from others in the media that cover sports say the SEC is the best conference in the country; I'd have to agree with them. Look at all the national championships that have come out of the SEC in recent years. Yes, there have been teams that had perfect records that did not play for the championship; a very good argument for a playoff system. But strength of schedule has a lot to do with teams going undefeated also. Some teams have more "rent a win" games than others, some teams play in much weaker conferences than others.

Some good ideas william; but greed will not allow a national playoff system. I'm almost 60, and have never been much of a college football fan; but if memory serves me right, it seems that once upon a time there were 4 bowl games - Orange, Rose, Cotton, and Sugar. Now, we have them everywhere, and they seem to be growing. Every school wants to host one, and be in one. Give it another 50 years, and everyone will go to a bowl game; even teams that didn't win a single game all season! I'd like to see a playoff system also; but I don't think it's going to happen - too much greed out there.

I told y'all before Petrino got fired that the hogs would win maybe 3 games. Quit blaming the coach. They played above their heads last year in an over rated SEC. They don't have alot of talent and it's showing this year again. NCAA needs a true playoff. Here's my solution. If you want to be considered for the playoffs your 3 non conference games have to be someone ranked in the top 25 preseason poll. If you choose to play these small unimportant schools then you forfeit any chance at a playoff. Ok, you play those 3 top 25 teams and move onto your conference games. At the end of the year let the computers and "experts" decide where the seedings will be for the playoffs. Top 20 teams make it. Number 1 will play number 20 and so forth. Well what about the bowl games you ask??? You can still have em. They will be playoff sites. Lord knows there's enough of em lol. In theory if number 1 Alabama loses to number 20 BYU the opening weekend then so be it. At least it's a playoff and not someones "opinion" of who they think is the best team in the nation. It will work !!

Fire Smith. I'm thinking the players would do a better job coaching themselves. Pathetic.
