Allen leads Earle past Charleston for 3A title

Autry Allen scored 20 points as Earle won its third title in five years with a 75-57 win over Charleston in the Class 3A boys Arkansas state championship game.

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) — Autry Allen scored 20 points as Earle won its third title in five years with a 75-57 win over Charleston in the Class 3A boys Arkansas state championship game.

The Bulldogs (31-4) scored 38 points off 25 turnovers by the Tigers and pulled away in the second half for the win.

Allen scored 18 of his points in the second half, one of four Earle players to finish in double figures. Dalvn Kimble had 18 points on 4 of 7 3-point shooting; Carlton Mitchell had 15; and Daquane Willford 14.

Robby Raggio led Charleston (32-3) with 15 points, while Jesse Crosswhite added 14 points and 10 rebounds. The championship game appearance was the first for the Tigers.
