JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas State University has extended the contract of head baseball coach Tommy Raffo by five years.

The contract announced Wednesday extends Raffo's contract through 2017. Terms of the contract were not immediately released.

Raffo was named Sun Belt Conference coach of the year following the 2012 season in which ASU won 11 of its final 15 games to finish 34-23 overall and 19-9 in conference play.
