JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas State returns to the baseball diamond Friday for a three-game Sun Belt Conference series at Florida Atlantic.
The Red Wolves are coming off a 5-3 loss to Southeast Missouri State on Tuesday. The Redhawks had a 4-0 lead after three innings before Arkansas State (21-17) began to rally. The Red Wolves rallied, but couldn't follow through after getting the tying run to the plate in the seventh inning.
Florida Atlantic is No. 1 in the Sun Belt Conference with a league record of 12-3. Arkansas State is 10-5 in conference play.
Friday's series-opener is scheduled to tip off at 5:30 p.m., followed by Saturday's game at 3 p.m. and a noon game on Sunday.
