OLEAN, N.Y. (AP) — Malcoln Kirkland scored 14 points and Arkansas State rallied from a 13-point halftime deficit to defeat St. Bonaventure 58-52 on Thursday night.

The Red Wolves (3-4) trailed 47-33 with 10:51 remaining in the game before getting a 3-pointer from Edward Townsel that started them on a 21-3 run for a 54-50 advantage with 2:19 to play.

Townsel hit another 3-pointer during that run, and Marcus Hooten's jumper at the 4:28 mark gave Arkansas State its first lead since the opening 4 minutes of the game.

Townsel finished with 13 points and Trey Finn 12 for the Red Wolves, who shot 60.9 percent (14 of 23) in the second half to 30.4 percent (7 of 23) for St. Bonaventure.

Da'Quan Cook led the Bonnies (2-3) with 14 points and Charlon Kloof had 11, while Andrew Nicholson, who was averaging 16.5 points, was held to six.
