JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) — Ryan Aplin ran for a touchdown and passed for two more as Arkansas State rallied past Louisiana-Lafayette 30-21 in a Sun Belt Conference game Saturday.

It was the seventh straight victory for the Red Wolves, who maintained control of the conference race.

Aplin and Taylor Stockemer connected on a pair of first-quarter scores - 13 and 31 yards -- and Aplin scored on a 4-yard run with 1:31 left in the third as the Red Wolves (8-2, 6-0) regained the lead 27-21.

Brian Davis, who had 22- and 24-yard field goals in the first half, added a 21-yard field goal with 5:01 left to make it a two-score game.

Trailing 17-7 at halftime, the Cajuns (8-3, 6-2) rallied to take the lead at 21-20 on a pair of touchdown passes from Blaine Gautier to Darryl Surgent and a 4-yard run by Alonzo Harris with 9:00 left in the third.
