FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas' Tyler Wilson has been named one of 16 semifinalists for the Davey O'Brien Award, which recognizes the top quarterback in the country.
Wilson, a junior from Greenwood, Ark., is 6-1 in his first season as the starter for the No. 8 Razorbacks (6-1, 2-1 Southeastern Conference). He leads the SEC with an average of 287.9 yards of total offense per game and has completed 62.7 percent of his passes.
Fans may now help determine which three quarterbacks advance as finalists by voting at VoteObrien.org until fan voting closes on Nov. 20. The finalists will be announced Nov. 21, and the winner will be announced on Dec. 8.
Arkansas travels to Vanderbilt on Saturday.
