Arkansas beats Gonzaga 5-3, sweeps series

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Eight Arkansas pitchers combined to hold Gonzaga to three runs for a 5-3 victory and a sweep of the two-game series at Fayetteville.

The Wednesday victory improves Arkansas' record to 16-2 on the season. Gonzaga falls to 10-5.

Next up for Arkansas is its Southeastern Conference opener on Friday when Alabama visits Baum Stadium for a three-game series.

First pitch Friday is 6:35 p.m.
