Austin Peay downs Arkansas State 86-82 in OT

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Josh Terry scored 22 points, including six of Austin Peay's 14 points in overtime, as the Governors held off Arkansas State 86-82 on Monday night for their first win of the season.

Melvin Baker added 21 points and 10 rebounds and was also key in the overtime period for Austin Peay (1-9), notching a clutch three-point play to put the Governors up 80-74 with 2:27 left.

Terry then hit one foul shot to put Austin Peay up by five points with just over a minute left and made another for the final margin with 2 seconds left. He opened the extra frame by knocking down back-to-back jumpers.

Will Triggs, who finished with 12 points for Austin Peay, dropped in a layup with 13 seconds left in regulation to send the game to overtime tied at 72.

Marcus Hooten scored a game-high 27 to lead the Red Wolves (3-5).
