Baseball finalizes 2012 television schedule

FAYETTEVILLE, AR. – The Arkansas baseball team will have at least 20 games televised during the 2012 regular season as the Razorbacks’ full 2012 television schedule was announced in a release Thursday.

Arkansas’ television schedule will include 11 games televised by CST and seven games on the ESPN family of networks or on ESPN3.com. Nine of the televised contests will originate from Baum Stadium, while Arkansas’ game in North Little Rock against Louisiana Tech will also be televised. The Razorbacks will have at least one game televised in nine of the 10 conference series, including all three games of the LSU series and two TV games in the South Carolina series.

Additional conference wildcard television games will be added at a later date including potential Razorback appearances in the final conference series of the season at Tennessee, the only current series without a television game scheduled.

In addition to the games previously announced as part of the SEC television package, Arkansas will have eight games air on CST. The Razorbacks’ games against Gonzaga on March 13, Georgia on April 8, at Oklahoma on April 10, Kentucky on April 14, Stephen F. Austin on April 17, at Ole Miss on April 22, Oral Roberts on April 24 and against Louisiana Tech in North Little Rock on May 15 will be shown live on CST.

The series finale between Arkansas and LSU on Sunday, April 1, will also be aired on CST. First pitch of that game is set for 1 p.m.

Arkansas’ first two games in the Houston College Classic will be streamed online. The Razorbacks’ game against Texas Tech on Friday, March 2, and against Houston on Saturday, March 3, will be streamed on ESPN3.com.

CSS and FSN/SportSouth will team up to show every game from the first five days of the 2012 SEC Baseball Tournament in Hoover, Ala. The championship game of the SEC Tournament will be televised by ESPN2 on Sunday, May 27, at 2:30 p.m.
