Bentonville remains No. 1 in prep poll

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Bentonville shows no signs of letting go of the top spot in the Associated Press Arkansas high school football poll.

The defending Class 7A champion Tigers defeated Rogers 61-6 last week. Bentonville has been top-ranked all season.

West Memphis fell from third to eighth after a 28-22 loss to Jonesboro. Conway fell from fifth to a tie for ninth after a 31-28 loss to Bryant, which also is ninth.

Pulaski Academy remains second overall and first in Class 4A, while El Dorado is third overall and first in Class 6A.

Greenwood leads Class 5A, Prescott leads Class 3A and Magazine is No. 1 in Class 2A.

In a key Class 6A game this week, third-ranked Searcy plays at fourth-ranked Jonesboro. In 5A, No. 3 Greenbrier is at No. 4 Alma.
