Central Arkansas finishes 7th at golf tournament

CONWAY, Ark. (AP) — The University of Central Arkansas men's golf team has finished seventh in the Louisiana Tech Squire Creek Intercollegiate.

Central Arkansas was in ninth place going into Tuesday's final round. The Bears shot 299 on Tuesday, 299 on Monday and 298 on the first day for an 896 total.

Southern Miss won the tournament at 854, followed by Louisiana Tech (862); Southeastern Louisiana (875); Sam Houston State (882); Jacksonville State (884) and Nicholls State (892).

Individually, Central Arkansas' Josh Sims tied for 19th with rounds of 76, 70 and 75 for a 221 total.

Pep Angles tied for 32nd place; Oliver Baker tied for 41st; Chris Cooke tied for 51st and Antonio Costa tied for 56th place.
