LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Chenal Country Club will be the site of this summer's Southern Amateur Golf Championship.

The country club made the announcement Monday. The tournament regularly attracts more than 700 entries before it's pared down to 168 players.

The country club says the tournament will be held July 18-21. Last year's event was held at Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor, Fla., and featured players from 33 states and 9 countries.

Since 2004, the Southern Amateur champion has received a sponsor exemption to the PGA Tour's Arnold Palmer Invitational in Orlando, Fla.
