Kansas City, MO (Sports Network) - The Kansas City Chiefs announced Tuesday that the team has parted ways with tight end Kevin Boss and wide receiver Steve Breaston.

Boss, who had previous stints with Oakland (2011) and the New York Giants (2007-2010), started just two games for Kansas City this past season as he struggled with concussion related issues. He had just three receptions for 65 yards and one touchdown in 2012 before being placed on injured reserve.

Boss has career totals of 150 receptions for 2,033 yards and 22 touchdowns, over 74 games in six seasons. The former Western Oregon product was a member of the Giants' Super Bowl team in 2007.

Breaston, who joined the Chiefs in 2011 after spending his first four NFL seasons with the Cardinals, appeared in 26 games during his time in Arizona. He hauled in 68 receptions for 859 yards and two touchdowns.

The former Michigan Wolverine standout has totaled 255 catches for 3,387 yards and nine touchdowns over six seasons.
