SYDNEY (AP) — John Daly has had another golfing meltdown, shooting a succession of balls into the water on the 11th hole at the Australian Open and walking off The Lakes course.

Daly was 7 over after 10 holes Thursday after appearing to be upset with a ruling on the 10th that penalized him for grounding his club in a hazard. He casually putted out on the 10th and took a triple-bogey seven.

On the 11th, he hit ball after ball into the water, some landing in the center of the pond, before an Australasian Tour official joined him. Moments later, he shook the hands of playing partners Craig Parry and Hunter Mahan and was seen walking off the course.
