FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – University of Arkansas running back Knile Davis was named SEC Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.

Davis tied career highs with three rushing touchdowns and 22 carries while topping the 100-yard mark for the second time in his career in the Razorbacks’ 41-20 win at 18th-ranked South Carolina. Davis rushed for 110 yards against the Gamecocks, who entered the game leading the conference and ranking 11th in the nation with only 100.1 rushing yards allowed per game, and added one reception for five yards.

Davis has scored nine rushing touchdowns this season, tied for fifth in the SEC, and is averaging 73.6 yards per game on the ground to rank ninth in the conference. Against SEC foes, the sophomore from Missouri City, Texas, is averaging 82.3 yards per game, a total that ranks as the fifth-highest against conference competition. All nine of his touchdowns have come against SEC opponents, which ties him for second in the SEC.

This marks the third consecutive week, and fourth time this season, the Razorbacks have garnered accolades from the conference office.

The 14th-ranked Razorbacks play their last on-campus game of the season Saturday, hosting UTEP inside Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. Kickoff with the Miners is set for 6 p.m., with ESPNU providing the broadcast.
