ARKADELPHIA, Ark. (AP) — The Great American Conference has chosen Henderson State quarterback Kevin Rodgers as offensive player of the week.
Officials said Monday Rodgers is being recognized for his performance in Henderson State's 41-36 victory over Ouachita Baptist during St. Joseph's Mercy Battle of the Ravine.
Rodgers threw for a career-high 332 yards and had touchdown tosses of 67, 48 and 36 yards on Saturday.
The redshirt-freshman completed 26-of-41 pass attempts to help Henderson State solidify second place in the inaugural season of the GAC.
Rodgers is the fourth Henderson State player to earn Player of the Week honors.
