LSU edges Arkansas 3-2 in extra innings

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Jared Foster's RBI-single in the 11th inning helped Louisiana State edge Arkansas 3-2 in a Southeastern Conference game.

The Razorbacks (22-6, 5-4 SEC) tied the game on Dominic Ficociello's lead-off homer in the seventh inning on Sunday. The game remained scoreless the rest of the way and went into extra innings.

Foster went 1-for-5 with an RBI to lead LSU (22-6, 6-3), which also received RBIs from Austin Nola and Ralph Rhymes. Ficociello went 1-for-5 for Arkansas with an RBI, his home run. Derrick Bleeker also hit a homer for the Razorbacks.

Joey Bourgeois (1-1) allowed no hits or runs in two innings of relief to win the game for LSU.

Barrett Astin (2-2) suffered the loss, allowing six hits and one run in three innings of relief.
