BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — There's an old saying that there are no weeks off in the Southeastern Conference.

However, a check of scores this season makes the SEC look like blowout central, begging the question of whether the league that has produced the national champion for five years running is more top-heavy than usual.

So far there have been 18 games played between SEC teams this year, and half have been decided by 20 or more points. Only four have been decided by eight points or less. The other 14 ended with double-digit victory margins.

Few coaches or players are surprised that No. 1 LSU and second-ranked Alabama each won their first three SEC games by double-digit margins, but there have been many other lopsided games not involving the Tigers or Crimson Tide.
