HOOVER, Al. - Bobby Petrino.

It's a name that evokes different reactions from different fans, some are glad he's gone, others want him back, but when it comes to his former players, it's nothing but love.

"We've talked slightly and he just apologized for what went on," said quarterback Tyler Wilson.

"I could hear the hurt in his voice," added running back Knile Davis.  "I told him, 'don't be so hard on yourself, you'll be ok, you'll get back from this' and that was it."

Many wonder whether the offense will change without Petrino, Wilson had a quick answer to that question this morning.

"The change is our offensive coordinator is now Paul Petrino," said Wilson.  "He has the same last name as that other guy so they have a similar understanding of offensive philosophy."

But will he ever coach again?

His days are done in Fayetteville, but Wilson believes you haven't seen the last of his former coach.

"There's no doubt, he has the talent, and the ability," said Wilson.  "I think he could come back and go somewhere."

mapleman, golfdude never commented on anything BUT Petrinos coaching abilities. He may think Petrino as a person is a POS. Its people like you that bring up race everytime. As a person, Petrino has faults, some worse than others. But as a coach, he is an outstanding asset to any university. Same goes for Nolan Richardson. As a person, he may be questionable, but as a coach, he is extremely valuable. Stop bringing in race and get on with your petty life you troll.

Golfdude If he was black he would be a lying scheming thug according to you. But because he's not, he's a great coach and you wish him the best. Your true colors(pun intended)shine through on every comment you make.
