Reddies 5th in Super Regional Rankings

Despite being ranked No. 4 in the latest American Football Coaches Association Top 25, Henderson State is ranked fifth in the first NCAA Division II Super Region 3 rankings released Monday afternoon.
ARKADELPHIA, AR - Despite being ranked No. 4 in the latest American Football Coaches Association Top 25, Henderson State is ranked fifth in the first NCAA Division II Super Region 3 rankings released Monday afternoon.

The Reddies, playing in one of the most difficult regions in Division II, are one of 10 teams still unbeaten.

Henderson State finished the 2012 season ranked No. 2 in the region and hosted a second-round game. The Reddies earned a bye in the first-round last year.

Six teams from four regions make up the 24-team playoff field. Those ranked first and second in their region earn an opening round bye, while the teams ranked third and fourth hosting an opening round game with No. 3 playing the No. 6 team, and the No. 4 team playing the No. 5 team.
