CONWAY, Ark. (AP) — Greg Olson had three RBIs to help lead Sam Houston State to a 12-2 victory over Central Arkansas in Southland Conference play.

The Bears (24-27, 15-16 Southland) led 1-0 after an RBI groundout by Travis Snider in the first inning Thursday, but Sam Houston State (35-17, 23-8) scored six runs in the second and collected more runs in the fifth and ninth innings.

Olson was 2-for-4 and Atwood and Corey Toups had two RBIs each for Sam Houston State. Ethan Harris had an RBI for the Bears.

Caleb Smith (8-4) allowed four hits and one run in six innings and Taylor Holt earned his first save for Sam Houston.

Jeffery Enlow (5-7) allowed five hits and six runs in 1 2-3 innings in the loss.
