SEATTLE (AP) — Cervante Burrell scored 15 of his season-high 24 points in the first half to help Seattle defeat Arkansas State 75-69 on Saturday night.
Aaron Broussard, Louis Green and Sterling Carter scored 10 points each for Seattle (6-13). The Redhawks have won three of four after losing four straight and 10 of 11.
Malcoln Kirkland scored 14 points and Adam Sterrenberg 13 to lead Arkansas State (10-15), which has lost six of eight. Brandon Peterson added 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Burrell, a senior guard, was two points short of his career high, set last year against Washington. He tied his season high with six assists.
