FRISCO, Texas (AP) — The Southland Conference has suspended Central Arkansas football player Jestin Love for making physical contact with game officials during the team's game with Southeastern Louisiana last weekend.

Love, who was ejected from the Southeastern game in the second quarter and sat out the entire second half, will also miss the first half of the UCA at Northwestern State matchup on Saturday.

League commissioner Tom Burnett says making contact with game officials is a clear violation of NCAA rules.

Conference spokesman Todd Lamb says the time off the field equates to a one-game suspension.
