FAYETTEVILLE, AR - The Razorbacks football team met at the Broyles Center Monday at 3 pm.

They were told they couldn’t speak to the media, but spirits seemed high following the news of Bobby Petrino’s motorcycle accident.

As for University of Arkansas students, they first heard the news on Sunday night, but they thought it was a prank.

“It came into my mind, because on April Fool’s Day, you see all sorts of stuff going on,” said Davis James.

“I guess they were trying to get the news out to pray for him,” said fellow student Lauren Hadaway.

Bikes, scooters, and motorcycles can be found all over the Fayetteville campus, but the Head Hog rolling with a Harley?

That was a bit of a surprise.

“A little bit,” said Hadaway. “I mean I don’t really know what he does on his free time, but it kind of made me want to know more about it.”

“It’s Bobby Petrino,” said James. “He’s pretty much awesome so you just kind of expect him to drive a motorcycle and who knows what else.”

Petrino’s time in Fayetteville has been brief but he’s already made an impact on the students.

“Bobby Petrino is very important to the state of Arkansas, said freshman Sean Moore. “He’s brought a lot of national attention here, he’s brought good press to Arkansas, and He’s done well for the Razorbacks.”
