CONWAY, Ark. (AP) — Preston Beck had five RBIs, including a home run, to lead Texas-Arlington past Central Arkansas 11-1 in a Southland Conference game in Arlington.

Beck's single to right field in the first inning gave Texas-Arlington (17-11, 6-6 SLC) a 1-0 advantage, and the Mavericks maintained their lead throughout Sunday's game.

Central Arkansas (11-14, 5-6) got as close as 5-1 in the third inning when Bryan Willson was hit by a pitch and Blake Marchal scored. But Central Arkansas never threatened after that.

Beck went 4-for-4, and Jordan Vaughn, Michael Guerra, Matt Shortall and Stewart Hill each added RBIs for Texas-Arlington.

Zach Thompson (1-2) allowed three hits and no runs in three innings of relief for Texas-Arlington.

Ryan Angus (2-3) allowed 10 hits and nine runs in three innings for Central Arkansas.
