Tigers Return to Center Stage

Little Rock, Ark - Something is happening at Quigley Cox Stadium, and it's good news for Tiger fans.

After a 2-9 campaign last year, the Tigers have already doubled that total with a 4-1 mark. 

"It's the mindset, and the practices," said senior DE Brian McDaniel.  "We've been practicing harder and we're more focused."

"We trust each other this year, nobody is trying to do it by themself,"  said junior RB Malcolm Robinson.  "It's going to take more than 1 person."

Last season the Tigers didn't play in many meaningful games, but they've got a big one Friday night when Conway comes to town.

Both teams bring in an undefeated 2-0 conference record. 

"There's been a lot of people saying we're going to lose," said McDaniel.  "We don't care about that.  As long as we play good defense, do our part, the offense will do their part."

"It's a huge game, winner will be 3-0 in conference play," said head coach Scooter Register.  "Anytime you have a loss in conference play, it's tough."

Both teams have plenty of momentum, the Tigers came from behind to beat Russellville on the road 28-14.  Meanwhile, the Wampus Cats took down North Little Rock 20-17 at home.

Kickoff for Central and Conway set for 7 PM at Quigley Cox Stadium.
