Tigers Win 3A

Charleston uses big 2nd half to win 3A title.
Little Rock, Ark - Charleston used a 23-point 2nd half to defeat Barton 31-10, and win the 3A title Friday night.

The Bears scored early to go up 7-0, but that was the only score until the final 60 seconds of the 1st half.

With 30 second left in the 2nd quarter, Dustin Shelby found Zachary Craig in the corner of the endzone for a touchdown.  The Tigers converted a 2-pt conversion to take a short-lived 8-7 lead.

Barton answered with a 32-yard field goal to take a 10-8 lead into the half.  

Saturday features two more title contests.  

Pulaski Academy and Malvern meet in the 4A final at noon, followed by Carlisle and Strong in the 2A final at 6:30 pm.
