LITTLE ROCK, AR – For the second-straight season, UALR (24-23) will host in-state foe Central Arkansas (32-13) Tuesday night at Dickey-Stephens Park in North Little Rock. First pitch is slated for 6:30 p.m. and the gates will open an hour earlier.

UALR students and baseball season ticket holders will be admitted free to Tuesday’s game. Students will be asked to show their student ID at the box office window.

The Trojans are coming off their first Sun Belt Conference series road win of the season after taking two of three from Florida Atlantic in Boca Raton, Fla., over the weekend. After Friday’s series opener was postponed due to rain, UALR fell 9-4 in game one of Saturday’s doubleheader. The Trojans responded with 14 runs on 15 hits in a 14-10 win in game two, then went on to win 10-5 in game three on Sunday. Senior Blake Huffman took a no-hitter into the eighth inning of Sunday’s win before giving way to classmate Tyler Buckley, who struck out four over the final 1.1 innings. UALR has now claimed back-to-back Sun Belt series and has won six of their last seven overall.

UCA recently had its four-game win streak snapped when it dropped two of three to Southeastern Louisiana in Conway. Forrestt Allday is hitting .367 with 11 doubles and a .500 on-base percentage to lead the Bears.

UALR leads 19-12 in the all-time series between the two programs and has won four-straight entering Tuesday’s contest.

Last season, Cameron Bentley (2011-12) drove in four runs and delivered a two-out, walk off RBI single in the bottom of the 10th to lead the Trojans to a 9-8 win over the Bears in front of 1,354 fans at Dickey-Stephens Park. The Trojans rallied from a 7-3 deficit by scoring five runs in the bottom of the sixth, highlighted by a three-run homer from Bentley. Sophomore Cameron Allen got the win in relief after recording the final out in the top of the 10th to strand a pair of UCA runners.
