LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — James Haarsma scored 17 points and hauled in five rebounds as Milwaukee beat UALR 59-54 Saturday night in Little Rock.
Milwaukee (5-1) trailed UALR 27-24 at halftime and fared no better in the second half's first seven minutes, falling behind 38-31 at the 13:50 mark. Milwaukee used a 10-2 run to tie the game, 40-40, over the next three minutes and finally took the lead for good with 2:08 remaining on a layup by Haarsma, 51-50.
UALR (2-4) was outscored in the second half 35-27 and suffered a defensive letdown, allowing Milwaukee to shoot 50 percent compared to 31.8 percent in the first half. Will Neighbour led UALR in scoring with 15 points.
Kyle Helm contributed 11 points and eight rebounds for Milwaukee.
