Zimmerman leads Wonderview to first title

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) — Jordan Zimmerman scored 14 points to lead Wonderview to the school's first state title with a 44-33 win over Kingston in the girls Class 1A Arkansas state championship game.

The Lady Daredevils (38-6) led by as many as 10 points in the first half and never trailed, hitting 8 of 15 3-point attempts.

Zimmerman hit four 3-pointers, while teammate Lane Harris connected on all three of her 3-point attempts and finished with 9 points. Bailey Zimmerman finished in double figures with 11 points, while Laken Ward added 10.

Courtney Davidson led the Lady Yellowjackets (33-7) with 15 points. Kingston was just 11 of 43 (26 percent) from the field, 6 of 21 on 3-pointers.
