LITTLE ROCK, AR - Thirteen adoptions were finalized Thursday in Little Rock as part of a mass adoption event.
November is national adoption month.
The Department of Human Services says 82 adoptions are scheduled to finalize across the state in November.
Jason Stone of Little Rock is excited to make the adoption of two-year old Remi official.
"We treat them as if they're our family no matter if we're going to keep them short term or long term," Stone says. "But now she officially will be part of the family so it's exciting for all of us."
DHS says 3,900 children in Arkansas are in foster care and the agency needs foster parents.
