3 Deaths Blamed on Slick Roadways

Arkansas State Police report three fatal accidents across Arkansas from Wednesday due to icy roads and slick driving conditions.
LITTLE ROCK, AR - Arkansas State Police report three fatal accidents across Arkansas from Wednesday due to icy roads and slick driving conditions.

Around 5 p.m., two cars collided head-on on Highway 167 in White County killing James Conway.  Two people in another car were injured.

Police report Thomas Coats was killed when his car skidded off State Highway 124 in Conway County and struck a pine tree.  The accident happened around 4:00 p.m.  He was the only person in the vehicle.
 
In Grant County, James Nichols died when a car he was riding in was struck by a vehicle that slid on slick roads.  Officers report a vehicle spun out of control on Highway 46 around noon and struck a bridge before slamming into two other vehicles.  Four other people were injured in the crash.
