SEARCY, AR -- Police said they are not sure what  pushed a woman to commit such a horrible act.

"There was some sort of altercation," said Corporal Steve Hernandez.

Police said it started as an argument between Alexandria Williams and her mother Dina Darden.

"At that point, Ms. Williams decided to shoot her mother Ms. Darden there in the parking lot," Hernandez said. "And that's when she fled."

Arkansas State Police were able to arrest Williams after using spike strips to stop her truck

She now sits in the White County Detention Center on a $500,000 bond for a charge of first-degree murder.

"Anytime you have family members taking other family members life it's a bad deal," Hernandez said.

Police say they have yet to get a straight answer from the daughter, Williams, as to what pushed her so far over the edge.
