6 Conway Teens Arrested in Auto Break-ins

Police say they were caught minutes after the crimes were reported.
CONWAY, AR - Six teenage boys have been arrested in a string of auto break-ins.

Conway Police say the suspects are 13, 14, 16 (2) and 18 (2).

The break-ins happened Thursday night around 9.

Those reporting the crimes described the suspects as all wearing hoodies.

When patrol officers arrived at the scene near South Mitchell and Hillman streets, the six suspects were quickly found.

Police say the two 18-year-olds (Cordario Williams and Stevie Brown) told officers they were on their way home when they encountered the group that had been breaking into cars.
Officers searched the area and found items lying on the ground just feet from where they stopped the group. Those items included a wallet, sunglasses and a GPS that were later found to have been taken from a car on Mitchell Street. Police also discovered cash stolen from the victim’s car and one of the suspects had a stolen iPhone in his pocket that belonged to another victim.

Williams and Brown were arrested and taken to the Faulkner County Detention Center.

Police say the case is still under investigation, and detectives are looking into whether these suspects could be responsible for other car break-ins across town.
