Arkansas State Rallies to Win GoDaddy Bowl, 23-20

In a game that came down to the wire, Arkansas State rallied to score with just :32 left on the clock to give them a 23-20 victory over Ball State in the GoDaddy Bowl.
MOBILE, AL - In a game that came down to the wire, Arkansas State rallied to score with just :32 left on the clock to give them a 23-20 victory over Ball State in the GoDaddy Bowl.

After throwing an interception in the endzone, quarterback Fredi Knighten bounced back when he engineered a lightning-fast touchdown drive to lift the Red Wolves to victory.

However, the victory didn't come easy.  In the short time left on the clock, Ball State marched down the field and set themselves up for a 38-yard field goal attempt.  Arkansas State came up with a big block to secure the victory.

Until their game-winning drive, the Red Wolves were unable to muster up much second-half offense scoring just two field goals.  Fortunately for them, their offensive was able to pick up steam at just the right time.

The evenly matched opponents were tied at 10 with about 150 yards of offense each at halftime.

This marked the third GoDaddy Bowl appearance for Arkansas State in the last 3 years.
