AUGUSTA, AR - A standoff with local police and Arkansas State Police (ASP) has ended with a man's arrest.

The 32-year-old unnamed suspect was taken into custody late Tuesday night several hours after the incident began at 1008 North 13th St.

The ASP says Augusta Police called for assistance after the suspect reportedly discharged a flare gun at one of its officers as they tried to arrest the man.
