A fund has been set up to help the man.
LITTLE ROCK, AR -- Friends and family of a blind 63-year-old man are asking for the public's help after their loved one was hit by a driver who didn't stop.

The incident happened around 6:15 in the morning on Dec. 20, 2013, near Rodney Parham and Markham.

Police have not made any arrests yet.

The victim, 63-year-old Bob Thompson, was found in the southbound lanes with his dog nearby.

Church friends say he is still recovering at the hospital.

"He's a great guy and deserves all the help we can give him," said Ron Paulson.

A fund is set up at Iberia Bank to help the man and his wife, who is also blind.
