Chiefs' Albert has hyperextended knee

<p>Kansas City Chiefs offensive tackle Branden Albert suffered a hyperextended knee in Sunday's loss to Denver.</p>

Kansas City, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - Kansas City Chiefs offensive tackle Branden Albert suffered a hyperextended knee in Sunday's loss to Denver.

Albert's injury is a "day-to-day situation," Chiefs coach Andy Reid said on Monday.

Albert was carted off the field in the second half of Sunday's 35-28 loss.

Tight end Anthony Fasano, who caught a touchdown pass for the third straight game, is going through the concussion protocol. He also had a bit of a knee strain, according to Reid.

Reid said outside linebacker Justin Houston, who missed the Denver game because of a subluxation of his right elbow, is making progress.
