Arrest Made in Bryant Wal-Mart Robbery

Stephen Edelmann, 28, will appear in court tomorrow for his bond hearing.
BRYANT, AR - The Bryant Police Department received a call yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon to the Bryant Wal-Mart regarding a suspect that had stolen several items from the store.

Police say when an employee approached the suspect, the suspect pulled out a knife, swung at the them with it then ran away.

According to police the suspect got into an older model white 4 door Nissan, and left the area before police arrived.

Today, officers say they located a vehicle that matched the description of the one from the incident.

The driver of the vehicle Stephen Edelmann, 28, matched the description of the suspect and when questioned by police, Edelmann admitted to taking the items from Wal-Mart and swinging the knife at employees.

Stephen Edelmann was arrested and charged with:

Aggravated Robbery – Y Felony
Aggravated Assault - D Felony
Theft of Property - B Felony
Possession of Methamphetamine for Purpose of Delivery – C Felony

Edelmann will appear in court tomorrow for his bond hearing.
