Bryant Man Accused of Abusing Girlfriend's Young Son

Police say Daniel Grayson, 25, admitted causing the injuries to the child.
BRYANT, AR - A local man is being held on $50,000 bond after being accused of child abuse.

Daniel Grayson, 25, was arrested on Friday after his girlfriend reported he had injured her two-year-old son while babysitting him.

The Bryant Police Department says it received a call from Jessica Beggs who had her son at Saline Memorial Hospital due to "numerous significant injuries" and told them Grayson was responsible.

Beggs told police she left her son with Grayson to watch at her apartment while she was in Little Rock. Police say she told officers Grayson sent her a text message saying that her son had fallen off a scooter and hit the coffee table.

When she got home and saw the child's injuries, she immediately took him to the hospital and called police.

Police say after investigators questioned Grayson about the injuries, he admitted to causing them.

He is charged with Battery in the First Degree.
