Car Crash Caught on Camera in Pine Bluff

Police are looking for the driver of a hit in run that damaged a business and several brand new cars.
PINE BLUFF, AR - Early Thursday morning, Pine Bluff police responded to a hit and run accident at a local business. The crash was caught on camera.

Dave Miller works at Welch Nissan where a truck crashed into a gate, damaged several cars and drove off.

Miller watched the surveillance video and said, "It was sort of unbelievable at the speed and the force that it hit that gate."

He said the damage was unexpected, "(I was) Expecting it to be a normal day of work and noticed that the front gate had been crashed and noticed there was substantial damage to a few of our inventory."

At least three brand new cars each have more than $1,000 worth of damage.

"Including the fence damage and the vehicle damage, we are talking just under $20,000 worth of damage," said Miller.

In the video, the driver never gets out of the truck and flees the scene. Now, the Pine Bluff Police are asking for help finding the truck and its driver.

Miller said he hopes the driver owns up to the crash. "I would ask them to turn themselves in. Man up and take care of the damages because they have created quite a bit of damage for Welsh Motor Company."

Anyone with information is asked to call the Pine Bluff Police Department.
