Indianapolis, IN (SportsNetwork.com) - When Kentucky shoots for its third trip to the Final Four in four years on Sunday, it will have to do so without the services of its starting center.

Wildcats head coach John Calipari announced Saturday that Willie Cauley-Stein is unlikely to play in the Midwest Region Final against Michigan after the sophomore injured his left ankle in Friday's stunning win over Louisville in the Sweet 16.

Cauley-Stein played just four minutes against the Cardinals after sustaining the injury early on in Kentucky's come-from-behind 74-69 triumph over the defending national champions.

"He's still in a [walking] boot," said Calipari during Saturday's press conference. "He's doubtful. He's acting like he thinks he can do something, and I would be stunned if he played in this game."

The 7-foot Cauley-Stein leads Kentucky in blocks (106) and steals (44) this season and ranks second among Wildcat players with an average of 6.1 rebounds per game.
