Child Abuse Hotline Tip Leads to Sexual Assault Arrest

ROGERS, AR (KNWA)- A tip to the state's child abuse hotline leads to the arrest of a Rogers man.

David Kegger Perez, 49, is accused of sexually assaulting an underage girl.

Rogers police say the investigation began after receiving a notification from the Arkansas State Police Child Abuse Hotline, claiming that Perez had inappropriate sexual and physical contact with the girl.

He is being held at the Benton County Sheriff's Office on one count of 2nd degree sexual assault, a Class B felony.

According to Arkansas State Law, a person commits Sexual Assault in the Second Degree if the person, being 18 years of age or older engages in sexual contact with another person who is younger than 14 years of age.
