City Leaders Aim to Stop Black on Black Crime

Mayor Mark Stodola recently returned from a mayor convention in New Orleans aiming at stopping black on black violence in Little Rock.

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Mayor Mark Stodola recently returned from a mayor convention in New Orleans aiming at stopping black on black violence in Little Rock.

More than 50 mayors from around the country came together to share ideas to stop this problem.

"I'm looking at how we can identify in certain parts of the city and really gather the assets, weather it be the churches, the neighborhood organizations, the citizens, and really  pull them together and try to talk about creating a peace zone," said Mayor Stodola.

Stodola said one peace zone he would like to see start is the 12th street corridor.  He is hoping pastors and mentors will hit the streets to start educating African American teens.
