EL DORADO, AR (KTVE) - A teenager has been arrested after breaking into a home twice over the weekend.
The El Dorado Police Department says a homeowner armed with a gun confronted the suspect in both incidents.
Police were first called to the home in the 3300 block of Edgewood on Saturday. The owner told police that he heard a noise in the front room.
He armed himself with a handgun and searched the house when he was confronted by the suspect, who was armed with a knife.
The suspect left after the owner threatened to shoot him.
The same suspect returned Sunday morning and when confronted by the owner, the suspect pointed a rifle at him. The owner fired one shot at the suspect but he was not hit.
Police were able to arrest the teen Sunday night. He is charged with aggravated burglary, battery, theft and possession of a firearm by a minor.
