Hartford Student Makes Bomb Threat at School

The 12-year-old student was taken to the Sebastian County Juvenile Detention Center.
SEBASTIAN COUNTY, AR - On Wednesday afternoon the Sebastian County Sheriff's Office received a phone call from Hartford schools regarding a bomb threat made by a student.

A 12-year-old student stated to a school official that he wished he could blow up the school with a bomb.

Deputies and investigators were immediately dispatched to the school. Investigators learned the student was upset by the school rules in reference to a playground game. His feelings about the rules resulted in his threatening statement.

Investigators received enough information to arrest the twelve year old student. He is being charged with Terroristic Threatening/Felony. The student was taken to the Sebastian County Juvenile Detention Center.

School was dismissing for the day about the time of the call.

No students at the school were injured or threatened.
