Fall Arrives Tonight

Fall officially begins tonight at 9:29 PM with some Fall coolness in the air. Temperatures tonight and tomorrow morning will fall well into the 50s, with a few spots cooling into the 40s. Lows continue to drop into the 50s over the next few mornings. Dry Canadian high pressure is building into the area behind a cold front that moved through Sunday. Skies are clear across the State and will stay that way over the next couple of days. Temperatures behind the front today warmed into the 70s to near 80 with low humidity, making for a comfortable feel to the air. Still hot South of the front with highs near 90 across parts of Southern Louisiana and South Texas. Temperatures across the State this evening range from the mid 70s to around 80. Clear and comfortably cool tonight as lows drop into the 50s. Staying mostly sunny Tuesday, although a weak upper air disturbance brings a few clouds to our North. High pressure stays in control of our weather through the middle of the week with clear, cool nights and warm, sunny days with low humidity. Temperatures will warm somewhat by the end of the week with highs in the mid 80s. An upper air disturbance may bring some rain by Sunday and Monday.
